2017 Restoration

The Abbazia di Santa Maria di Cerrate is one of the most significant Romanesque heritage sites in Puglia. Founded by King Tancred of Hauteville in the 12th century after a divine revelation, the Abbazia di Santa Maria di Cerrate has been home to religious orders, agricultural workers, and a host of others over the course of its fascinating history. With it’s rich cultural and agricultural patrimony, the Abbazia is one of Southern Italy’s most precious treasures.

2016 Restoration

Located on the western shore of Lake Como, the splendid 18th century Villa del Balbianello is perched on the point of the Dosso di Lavedo, a wooded promontory that juts out from the coastline to form a small peninsula.

2015 Restoration

Surrounded by a magnificent Italian-style garden, the 18th century Villa Panza in Varese is famous around the world for the contemporary art collection that Giuseppe Panza di Biumo assembled there from the 1950s onwards.

VILLA GREGORIANA PARK – TIVOLI, LAZIO

2014 Restoration

Villa Gregoriana Park is located in Tivoli, just a stone’s throw from Rome. Amidst the park’s beautiful natural landscape, it is possible to find archeological ruins of different periods, perhaps most notably the Villa of the Roman Consul Manlius Vopiscus, a luxurious residence also celebrated by the Latin poet Horace; and on the acropolis, the temples of Vesta and Tiburno, dating back to the second century BC.

2013 Restoration

The Abbey of Saint Mary of Cerrate was recently entrusted to FAI for a 30 year concession, by the by the Province of Lecce. The Abbey was built in the early 12th century by the Normans, who had conquered the region during the previous century. The Abbey is located near the town of Lecce in Puglia, the south-eastern tip of the Italian peninsula.

2011 and 2012 Restoration

The Campatelli Palace and Tower is located in the heart of historic San Gimignano. In the 13th century, the Tuscan town became the seat of a wealthy urban aristocracy that affirmed its political and social power through the construction of towers. Indeed, each noble family vied with its rival to build the tallest tower, so that at its peak, San Gimignano boasted over 70 of these stately structures.
