Through mid-September 2026, FAI’s historic properties will stay open into the evening, inviting visitors to experience Italy’s extraordinary cultural heritage from a fresh perspective. FAI Summer Evenings returns with a three-month program of special events designed to transform every summer night into an unforgettable, multisensory experience.
From north to south, visitors will enjoy remarkable settings at sunset and after dark: concerts surrounded by centuries-old olive trees in Valle dei Templi in Agrigento, performances in the enchanting woodland below the Basilica di San Francesco in Assisi, open-air films in the largest private park in Bergamo Alta, and stargazing on the Night of San Lorenzo at a medieval castle.
The program offers countless opportunities to slow down and reconnect with Italy’s cultural and natural heritage. Literary and musical aperitifs, picnics in nature, celebrations of local traditions, candlelit tours, sunset hikes, astronomy programs, yoga sessions, outdoor movies, storytelling for children, concerts, and theatrical performances create memorable evenings that engage all the senses.
Villa Rezzola
Joining the program for the first time is Villa Rezzola in Lerici, overlooking the Golfo dei Poeti. From July 10 through September 18, visitors can enjoy special sunset tours through the villa’s beautiful English garden, followed by tastings of local wines, herbal liqueurs, and iced teas on the panoramic terrace.
Ars Sonora at Villa Panza
The season concludes on September 19 with Ars Sonora at Villa Panza in Varese, an immersive day-long festival where music fills both the villa’s galleries and gardens, creating a dialogue between its permanent collection and contemporary sound art.
The event begins with a dawn cello concert in the park and continues throughout the day with live sound installations, children’s workshops, guided tours, and DJ sets, culminating in a sunset performance by Lino Capra Vaccina.
