Friends of FAI is pleased to present our 2012 Fall Newsletter, which
will bring you up-to-date on our activities so far this year and provide
you with a preview of our future programs. We invite you to look inside these pages to learn about our Spring Tour of Florence & Tuscany, our new membership structure, and our current FAI restoration project. You will also learn about an important FAI initiative entitled “I Luoghi del
Cuore - Italian Places I Love” which has been launched internationally
for the first time. We encourage you to play an active part in preserving
Italy’s cultural heritage by participating in this unique project.

2011 Thus Far…
Friends of FAI is pleased to announce some exciting changes for 2011.
With a full-time staff member at our New York offi ce, you can expect to hear from us more regularly via our newsletter.
We are also becoming involved with social networking, and have created a Facebook page and Twitter account so that we may keep you up-to-date on all our events and initiatives.
In addition to our annual Balbianello Circle Tour in Italy, Friends of FAI is organizing some unique events in the US this fall, including a lecture on the towers of San Gimignano at New York University’s Casa Italiana in conjunction with our 2011 Restoration Project: Th e Campatelli Palace and Tower.We hope you will be able to join us for some of these interesting initiatives!

This spring 2009 Friends of FAI newsletter is filled with projects and opportunities-opportunities to provide constructive assistance to the universe of FAI properties being renovated, restored, and opened to the public, and opportunities to visit and explore that universe as a special and privileged friend and benefactor.
Among the recent and significant developments that are of special interest to Friends of FAI-last year our American foundation was certified as a public charity. Our new public charity status makes supporting FAI projects easier and more attractive in a number of ways. Restored properties are being opened to the public at an impressive place...
